The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, offers a wide range of clinical and anatomic diagnostic services including the specialized services offered through our reference laboratory affiliation Mayo Medical Laboratories. The MediCorp Health System exists to improve the health status of all people in our community which is complimentary to Mayo Clinic’s primary value of "the needs of the patient come first." As you can see from the scope of the Laboratory Service Guide, we provide comprehensive laboratory services with the majority of the laboratory tests performed within the community 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Services are provided from many collection sites throughout the community. Laboratory results are available through a web-based physician dashboard system which not only provides access to both inpatient and outpatient laboratory results but also provides a lifetime clinical patient record encompassing clinical laboratory reports, anatomic pathology reports, radiology reports, consultations, history and physicals, Emergency Department visits, operative reports, and discharge summaries. We recognize that the growing complexity of medical practice requires laboratory services which are accessible and not disconnected from other important diagnostic information necessary for the proper and timely treatment of patients.
